  12.         The Write Protect function on my 1541 disk drive no longer
  13. works, I have checked the emmiter and receiver cells, and they
  14. seem to be OK. The drive passes the post power up test, and works
  15. OK otherwise, but the failure of the write protect system means I
  16. get errors like :

  19. Write Protect On
  20. Disk ID Mismatch (It can't detect change of disk !)
  21. Write Error

  23.         Or, if it is truly cream crackered, where in the UK can I
  24. get the bugger fixed I wonder ?
